Never

This piece reflects the historical moment when Hungarian and Polish refugees, forced to flee their homelands due to oppression and persecution, sought asylum in the Ottoman Empire, only to have Russia and Austria demand their extradition. However, Sultan Abdülmecid (1839–1861) resisted these pressures, declaring, “I would give my crown, I would give my throne, but I will never give up those who have taken refuge in my state.”
This work embodies that willpower, determination, and faith.
